Welcome
Welcome to the Mount St. Francis Center for Spirituality website. The friars and staff invite you to visit the Mount either as a retreatant or as one who simply wishes to experience the beauty of the Creator by exploring the trails around the lake and through the woods and fields. During your visit you are invited to spend time in quiet prayer in the chapel and to join the friars for the Liturgy of the Hours and/or Mass. Whether you wish to plan a private retreat for yourself or a group, the friars and staff here are eager to help you. Give us a call: 812-923-8817. Upcoming Friar Programs

Serenity Retreat
Gary Brown has been sober since 12/3/1964. He and his wife have been married since August 29, 1959. Gary is still very active in AA as a member of the Digs AA Group in Indy, attending other meetings around the city, and more importantly sponsoring several AA men in Indianapolis as well as around the country. Gary recently returned from Los Angeles where he was one of two people who did an AA retreat for about 200 AA members in Santa Monica. Presently Gary works at the Indianapolis Intergroup Central Office (AA).
I am fortunate enough to work at the Indianapolis Intergroup Central Office (AA). Gary says he “is looking forward to” leading the Serenity Retreat at Mount St. Francis April 30 – May 2, 2010

Love of Nature
Join us for a one day experience as we share our love for nature while exploring a part of our nearly 400 acre nature preserve! We will be celebrating “earth” and walking our trails, reflecting upon “air” by use of our High Ropes Course, and utilizing “water” and “fire” as a backdrop for a lakeside liturgy and campfire. If you like the idea of our natural setting as an atmosphere conductive to a retreat, you’ll really enjoy the “Love of Nature” Retreat, as a celebration of the gifts and elements of creation – in the thought of Francis of Assisi. Presenters: Friar Don Halpin, OFM Conv. and Jody Proctor, Director of the Outdoor School.
